How can e2e help?
Because e2e is all about the young person, they will need to tell us about what they like and what they want to do in life. Together we then work out how to get the young person to where they want to be. Training, placements and activities are based on the young person's needs and a way forward is agreed together.
What's on offer?
Young people can participate in a wide range of activities and awards. These might include: help with reading and writing, first aid, IT, looking for a job, health and safety, food hygiene, skills training, presentation skills, work tasters and visits, qualifications too. This is not school. e2e helps young people on a 1-2-1 basis or in small groups, on group activities outdoors or in the workplace. As well as helping young people achieve their goals, they will also receive a weekly training allowance. There's also the chance to meet new people, share experiences and make new friends. Even childcare expenses are met in full.
Qualifications
Training and Qualifications are offered in:
- Basic Skills - Level 1 Numeracy and Literacy.
- Alcohol and Drug awareness
- First Aid
- Life Skills (ASDAN)
Martec also provide in house certificates for personal target achievements. Not all parts of e2e will lead to a qualification, but the young person will have a better chance of going forward at the end of e2e.
On track?
Every 2 - 4 weeks, the young person will get a chance to talk about e2e with their key worker.
Together they'll make sure that everything is going well.
A way forward
The end result; a job, a Modern Apprenticeship, or a further education course. e2e focuses on the young person, and only they know where they want to be at the end of it.
