APPRENTICESHIPS - Parents
What are apprenticeships?

All you need to know

Here at Martec we realise that as parents you will have a great interest in your child’s future and will want peace of mind that the route they are taking is the right one. Therefore this section has been designed to offer you all the advice and information you will need on Martec and the Apprenticeship scheme.

We have been established since 1980.

We have a large number of North Staffordshire companies who rely on us to provide them with apprentices.

Over the years we have had various successes at Apprenticeship Awards.

We pride ourselves on health and safety in the workplace and our Health & Safety officer thoroughly assesses the placements before the apprentice starts.

Comprehensive Health and Safety awareness is carried out on induction at Martec and also in the workplace.

We have an experienced Welfare Officer who is always available to offer information, advice and guidance and will visit the apprentice every 3 months to make sure they are happy and being treated fairly.

The friendly, knowledgeable staff at Martec, are always there to help if ever you have any questions or seek any advice. We offer a personal touch to our service and are as keen as you are to see the young people progress and succeed in their chosen career.

You are more than welcome to come and have a look around our premises and join your children on the Information Session days that we hold.

Your child will be offered a great range of opportunities, not just academic, but also opportunities for personal development. Skills such as team building, problem solving and self-management are actively encouraged to give students the confidence needed for individual and also professional development.
